WELCOME TO OUR CORNER OF THE WORLD

The Amazon is a place. And a feeling.

The hush of a canoe slipping through the forest. A bird call you have never heard. A story shared beside the river.

We are Amaru Amazon Experiences, based in Puerto Nariño, Colombia. We bring together river adventures, rainforest walks and cultural encounters for travellers who want to connect with the place they visit.

Choose a single experience or let us shape a few days around what moves you. This is your invitation to slow down and look closer.

BEFORE YOU FOLLOW THE RIVER

A few things to know.

Ask us anything
Where does the journey begin?

We are based in Puerto Nariño, in the Colombian Amazon. Leticia is the usual air gateway; onward travel to Puerto Nariño is by river. Contact us before buying onward connections so we can coordinate the meeting point and boat arrangements with your arrival.

When should I visit?

The river changes throughout the year. Higher water can open routes through flooded forest; lower water offers different walking routes and river landscapes. Tell us your dates and we will explain what is possible at that time. Rain is part of the experience.

Can I arrange a guide in my language?

Let us know your preferred language when you enquire. We will confirm guide or interpreter availability and any additional cost before you book. The language of this website does not guarantee a guide in that language.

What should I bring?

Pack light: breathable long sleeves, long trousers, rain protection, suitable walking shoes, a hat, insect repellent and a refillable water bottle. For overnight outings, we will confirm a specific equipment list and what is provided.

How do pricing and reservations work?

Send your dates, group size and interests on WhatsApp. We will discuss availability and send a personalised proposal with the total price, inclusions, payment conditions and cancellation terms. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. No payment is collected on this website.

Is kayaking a daytime activity?

Yes. Our Kaya / kayaking experience takes place during daylight. Birdwatching and the cacao tour are separate experiences and can each be requested individually. Routes depend on water levels and weather.
